Mulching time

Well last weekend I managed to find time to sort out my pots on my decking, I decided it was time to take out about an inch or two in some cases of the old compost and apply a fresh covering.  I try to do this in early spring so that the bulbs and existing shrubs and trees get a good feed before they start producing flowers / leaves this seems give them an extra boost. The compost I use and highly recomend is New Horizon Organic and peat free compost which I brought from the Crownhill Garden Centre.  They have an offer on at the moment, buy two get one free, what a bargain!  They also serve a delicious cake for those people with a sweet tooth.

This year I thought I would mix an organic six month feed to my compost as well.  I will let you know how this goes.
